Entrepreneur Magazine

When my time isn't occupied with Bastard & Friends, I usually spend my spare time indulging in some good reading material. For the most part, I'm an avid fan for magazines revolving around urban culture as well as business. I've never really been too much of a book reader, so as an alternative to learning and educating myself, I turn to magazines as well as the internet. Some of the literature that I have subscriptions with are mags such as: Inc., Entrepreneur, YRB, and Complex just to name a few.

If you haven't already picked up the latest September 2008 issue of Entrepreneur Magazine, this is definitely an issue you don't want to miss as with the other previous months issues. The hot topic of this issue is the emphasis on "Young Millionaires" and their secrets to success. One of the most intriguing success stories pointed out is the success of Karmaloop, a retailer that carries a vast amount of urban streetwear apparel. Brands such as: Obey, Crooks & Castles, LRG, Kidrobot, and Tokidoki are just some of the few heavy hitters that Karmaloop maintains. In 1999 Greg Selkoe, founder of Karmaloop started the company from his parents' basement. Fast forward to 2008, the company now possesses a huge customer base of more than 2.5 million unique web visitors a month and anticipates sales of $40 million.(Entrepreneur Magazine) That's pretty impressive, I'd say!

So, what are you waiting for? Check out the latest issue at your local bookstore and get inspired to live your dream!
